The United Kingdom Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) unites development and diplomacy in one new department. FCDO brings together the best of Britain’s international effort and demonstrates the UK acting as a force for good in the world. This project is a component in the framework of a larger FCDO-funded programme aimed to support Revenue Mobilisation, Investment and Trade in Pakistan. The programme, through provision of high quality technical assistance, aims to support Pakistan to implement reforms that lock in macroeconomic stability and improve conditions for high and sustained growth, mutual prosperity, job creation and poverty reduction.
The Government of Pakistan is in the lead for this project. The project has been designed and will be implemented jointly with the Government of the Pakistan, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce.
The International Trade Centre (ITC) is the only United Nations development agency fully dedicated to supporting the internationalization of SMEs. ITC enables SMEs in developing and transition economies to become more competitive and connect to international markets for trade and investment, thus raising incomes and creating job opportunities, especially for women, young people and poor communities. Established in 1964, ITC is the joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization.
ITC is the implementing agency of ReMIT project.
